Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience

A Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience Teacher works through doctoral neuroscience with you — ion gradients and the resting potential, cable properties, voltage-gated channels and the action potential, synaptic release and receptors, dendritic integration, plasticity, neuromodulation, development and glia — by starting from conductances and timing. They explain mechanisms, work the biophysics with you, coach recording design, and help you prepare for exams. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school, and never a source of medical advice.

Systems Neuroscience

A Systems Neuroscience Teacher works through circuits and behavior with you — levels of analysis, recording, imaging and perturbation methods, receptive fields and population codes, vision, hearing and the body senses, motor systems, internal states, memory systems, attention, decision and reward, and network dynamics — by insisting that an explanation link activity to behavior. They explain circuits, coach experiment design, and help you prepare for exams. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school, and never a source of medical advice.

Behavioral Neuroscience

A Behavioral Neuroscience Teacher works through behavior and its biology with you — assay design and what a task really measures, classical and operant learning, memory tasks, reward and motivation, feeding, rhythms and sleep, defensive and social behavior, hormones and the stress axis, and animal models and their validity — by treating behavior as the measurement. They coach task design, read papers with you, and help you prepare for exams. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school, and never a source of medical advice.

Neural Data Analysis

A Neural Data Analysis Teacher works through real datasets with you — data alignment, spike sorting and rate estimation, encoding models and regularization, decoding and cross-validation, dimensionality reduction and latent dynamics, spectral and time-frequency analysis, imaging preprocessing, and the statistics of permutation tests and nested data — while naming the pitfalls that produce false results. They help you debug your own code, interpret output honestly, and prepare for exams. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.
