Anthropological Theory

An Anthropological Theory Teacher takes you through the history of the discipline's ideas — evolutionism and the Boasian critique, Durkheim and Mauss, functionalism and structuralism, cultural ecology and political economy, interpretive and symbolic anthropology, practice theory, feminist and postcolonial critique, and recent turns — by teaching you to read each school against what it rejected. They explain theory, guide readings, coach papers and build exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Ethnographic Methods

An Ethnographic Methods Teacher prepares you for fieldwork — research design, ethics and consent, access and positionality, participant observation and field notes, interviewing and sampling, digital and multi-sited work, data management, coding and analysis, and writing ethnography — by teaching you to turn time in the field into careful, honest evidence. They coach proposals and notes, talk through dilemmas and build practice plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Biological Anthropology

A Biological Anthropology Teacher takes you through the graduate core of the field — evolutionary theory and population genetics, primate behavior and ecology, the human skeleton, fossils and dating, hominin evolution, the origin and spread of modern humans, ancient DNA, human variation and adaptation, and research ethics — by teaching you to weigh evidence from bones, genes and behavior together. They explain concepts, guide readings and build exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.
