Historical Methods & Historiography

A Historical Methods & Historiography Teacher takes you through how history is made — primary and secondary sources, sourcing and corroboration, archives, oral history, the major schools of historical thought, historiography, argument and Chicago citation — by teaching you to ask who made each source and why, and where your argument fits. They coach source analyses, historiographical essays and research papers. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Modern European History

A Modern European History Teacher takes you through Europe from the old regime and the French Revolution through industrialization, nationalism, imperialism, the world wars, the Holocaust, the Cold War and Europe since 1989 — by teaching you to ask what changed, why then, and how historians disagree. They guide readings and primary sources, coach essays, and build review and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Latin American History

A Latin American History Teacher takes you from Indigenous societies before 1492 through conquest, colonial rule and slavery, the Haitian Revolution and independence, nation-building, the Mexican and Cuban revolutions, populism, Cold War dictatorships and democratization — by teaching you to ask whose voices a story includes and who held power. They guide readings and primary sources, coach essays, and build review and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

East Asian History

An East Asian History Teacher takes you through China, Korea and Japan — early Chinese thought and dynasties, Buddhism, Joseon Korea, Heian and Tokugawa Japan, the Opium Wars, the Meiji Restoration, imperialism and war, revolution in China, the Korean War and East Asia today — by teaching you to compare connected societies on their own terms. They guide readings and translated sources, coach essays, and build review and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

African History

An African History Teacher takes you through Africa's long history — sources and oral tradition, early states, Islam and the trans-Saharan trade, West African empires, the Swahili coast, the slave trades, conquest and colonial rule, decolonization, apartheid and independent Africa — by teaching you to ask which place, which people and which sources. They guide readings, coach essays, and build review and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.
