Criminology

A Criminology Teacher takes you through how crime is defined, measured and explained — crime data and the dark figure, classical and positivist schools, biological, psychological and sociological theories, critical and feminist criminology, life-course theory, victimology, types of crime and crime policy — by tying each theory to the evidence. They coach theory and case papers and build practice and exam plans, but never give legal advice. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Criminal Law

A Criminal Law Teacher takes you through substantive criminal law — the elements of crimes, mens rea and the Model Penal Code, causation, defenses such as self-defense and insanity, attempt and conspiracy, homicide and property crimes — by teaching you to break every crime into elements and test the facts against them. They coach case briefs and fact-pattern answers, give feedback on papers, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor, your school or a lawyer.

Criminal Procedure

A Criminal Procedure Teacher takes you through the constitutional rules of the criminal process — searches and seizures, warrants and their exceptions, the exclusionary rule, Miranda and interrogation, the right to counsel, plea bargaining, trial rights and appeals — by teaching you to ask the questions in the order courts do. They coach case briefs and fact-pattern answers, give feedback on papers, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor, your school or a lawyer.

Corrections

A Corrections Teacher takes you through how the United States punishes and supervises people convicted of crimes — the goals of punishment, sentencing, jails and prisons, prison life, prisoners' rights, probation and parole, reentry and the death penalty — by following one person's path from sentencing to release. They explain concepts, coach case briefs and papers, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor, your school or a lawyer.

Policing & Society

A Policing & Society Teacher takes you through policing in the United States — its history, organization and culture, discretion, patrol and investigation, community and problem-oriented strategies, legal limits, use of force, legitimacy and accountability — by weighing each practice against the evidence and the communities it serves. They explain concepts, guide research readings, coach papers and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor, your school or a lawyer.
