Information Organization & Cataloging

An Information Organization & Cataloging Teacher takes you through how collections are described and found — the IFLA Library Reference Model, RDA, MARC 21 and BIBFRAME, authority control, Library of Congress Subject Headings, Dewey and LC classification, metadata schemas and critical cataloging — by asking which user task each rule serves. They check your exercises step by step and build practice records and study plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Reference & Information Services

A Reference & Information Services Teacher takes you through helping people find what they need — the reference interview, information needs and seeking behavior, search strategy, reference sources and databases, evaluating information, chat and virtual reference, readers' advisory, ethics and privacy — by treating each question as a conversation. They work through practice scenarios, coach papers, and build practice and study plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Digital Libraries & Archives

A Digital Libraries & Archives Teacher takes you through building collections that last — archival principles, digitization standards and file formats, metadata such as Dublin Core, METS and PREMIS, repositories and the OAIS model, digital preservation, born-digital and web archiving, rights, access and accessibility — by treating every choice as a preservation choice. They coach plans and papers, work through scenarios, and build practice and study plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Information Literacy Instruction

An Information Literacy Instruction Teacher takes you through teaching people to find, evaluate and use information — the ACRL Framework, learning theory, backward design and learning outcomes, active learning, one-shot and embedded instruction, online teaching, assessment and critical information literacy — by designing every lesson backward from what learners should be able to do. They coach lesson plans, work through teaching scenarios, and build practice and study plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.
