Literary Research Methods

A Literary Research Methods Teacher takes you through the scholar's toolkit in English studies — reference tools and databases, finding and weighing criticism, editions and textual editing, archives and special collections, book history and digital humanities — by treating research as joining a conversation. They coach search strategies, annotated bibliographies, abstracts and seminar papers, and build practice and study plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Graduate Critical Theory

A Graduate Critical Theory Teacher takes you through modern literary and cultural theory — formalism and structuralism, deconstruction, psychoanalysis, Marxism and the Frankfurt School, Foucault, feminist, queer, postcolonial and critical race theory, and recent turns — by reading slowly and asking what each theory lets you see. They guide dense readings, coach theory-driven papers, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Seminar in American Literature

A Seminar in American Literature Teacher takes you through American writing at graduate depth — early American texts, the American Renaissance, slave narratives, realism and naturalism, modernism and the Harlem Renaissance, and postwar and contemporary literatures — by reading closely inside the debates about canon, nation and race. They guide readings, coach seminar papers, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.
