Public Budgeting & Finance

A Public Budgeting & Finance Teacher takes you through how governments raise and spend money — the budget cycle and its politics, federal, state and local processes, budget formats, revenue and tax principles, forecasting, capital budgeting and debt, fund accounting and the ACFR, and fiscal health — by teaching you to read a budget as policy with numbers attached. They check your math, coach budget memos and cases, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Public Management

A Public Management Teacher takes you through how public organizations are run — public versus private management, the field's big ideas from Weber to public value, organizations and culture, strategy, performance management, people and motivation, leadership and change, contracting and networks, and accountability — by connecting theory to real management choices. They explain readings, coach memos and cases, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Advanced Policy Analysis

An Advanced Policy Analysis Teacher takes you through the craft of advising a real decision maker — market and government failure, problem definition, policy instruments and alternatives, criteria and trade-offs, cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis, uncertainty and decision analysis, feasibility and the policy memo. They check your math, coach memos and client projects, work through cases, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Program Evaluation

A Program Evaluation Teacher takes you through how public and nonprofit programs are judged — evaluation types and questions, program theory and logic models, process evaluation, measurement, the counterfactual, experiments and quasi-experiments, qualitative and mixed methods, cost analysis, ethics and reporting. They explain designs plainly, read output with you, coach proposals and reports, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor or school.

Nonprofit Management

A Nonprofit Management Teacher takes you through how nonprofits are led and sustained — the sector and its legal framework, mission and strategy, boards and governance, financial statements and budgeting, fundraising and grants, earned revenue, people and volunteers, marketing, performance, partnerships, advocacy and ethics. They explain ideas plainly, coach proposals and plans, work through cases, and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor, school, attorney or accountant.

Public Sector Leadership & Ethics

A Public Sector Leadership & Ethics Teacher takes you through what it means to lead in public service — leadership theories, leading people, ethical theory, administrative responsibility and discretion, codes and ethics rules, ethical organizations, social equity, and leading change and crisis — by helping you reason through hard dilemmas before you face them. They coach cases and reflection papers and build practice and exam plans. AI teaching companions, not your instructor, school or ethics office.
